Before we start you should be aware that aesthetically pleasing pictures have certain dimensions. Photographers of use the rule of thirds (ratio of 1 to .6667) to position their subjects and mathmatecians often use the golden ratio (1 to .61803) to create shapes that are pleasing to the eye.
The first skill we will look at will be some simple color/brightness adjustments. We will also learn to crop an image and save your image in a JPG format to our network drive. Don't forget to pay attention to the location you are saving to.
Next, you will create a blog where you will write a little text and then bring in your pictures. Blogs are a little picky about moving pictures around. If you move a picture you will lose the ability to open a larger image of the picture. So, the best way to handle this problem is to create your text, add your pictures, and then move your text as needed.
Steps for adding a picture to your blog:
1) Add your text
2) Click the Add Image icon
3) Browse to your picture
4) Select your picture
5) Move the text around as needed -- not your pictures
